international transportation
– Transportation to the airport.
Deliver the cargo to the cargo complex of the National Airport “Minsk” (you can do it yourself, or you can entrust everything to us). The availability of our own fleet of vehicles allows us to transport cargo to/from the National Airport “Minsk”, including customs transit without providing financial guarantees to the customs authorities of the Republic of Belarus (we are registered in the register of customs carriers №TP-0500/0000044).
– Cargo packaging:
there are no special requirements and restrictions, but the packaging must exclude the possibility of damage to the cargo in the process of its reloading, have no protruding sharp parts that could damage the aircraft’s plating or cause injury, and be appropriately labeled.
– Size, weight.
The maximum weight of one piece of cargo allowed for transportation by air without additional approvals depends on the type of aircraft – each has its own cargo compartment parameters and, accordingly, each has its own restrictions on the minimum/maximum parameters of the cargo space. If you have any questions related to exceeding the norms on weight or dimensions of cargo, it is better to address to the managers of the transportation company “Aerostar” for consultation.
– Customs clearance.
Coordinate the necessary package of documents for customs clearance. Location of our company’s office on the territory of the National Airport “Minsk” and the availability of customs clearance specialists in the staff will allow you to promptly solve all issues related to the services of cargo handling and air transportation, registration of customs and accompanying documents.
2. Application for organization of air transportation
4. Dangerous Goods Declaration
5. Air waybill (approved form)
6. Resolution of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus
– Insurance. To ensure reliable air transportation, we offer cargo insurance, as air transportation tariffs and air waybill registration do not imply automatic cargo insurance. The Warsaw Convention limits the property liability of the carrier. Payments for damage or loss of cargo are up to 20 USD per kg. In order to reimburse the damage in full, we offer our clients to insure the cargo at acceptable tariff rates.
– Dangerous goods. Availability of IATA Certificate for transportation of dangerous goods by air transport allows you to deliver by air equipment with batteries, varnishes or/and deodorants in aerosol packaging, polygraphic paints and other dangerous goods. Please note that the sender, when making an application for air transportation of cargo, is responsible for the declaration of dangerous goods to avoid the risk of harm to human health and fines from the aviation authorities.
The cost of air transportation depends on the nature of the cargo, weight, flight route, urgency, etc. As a rule, the cost of delivery can be calculated as follows:
cost = tariff per 1 kg × number of kg + additional charges*.
* security fee, fuel surcharge, air waybill issuance fee, special charges.
There is also a concept of minimum cargo tariff (fee) – the minimum chargeable cost of transportation, which consists of the minimum chargeable weight + additional charges. The minimum cargo tariff differs from airline to airline and can range from 8 to 30 kg.
The cost of air cargo transportation also depends not only on the weight of the cargo, but also on the volume.
We are talking about volumetric weight. In accordance with the current rules volumetric cargo is considered to be cargo, 1 kg of which occupies a volume of more than 6000 cm³, i.e. the weight of 1 m³ of cargo should be at least 167 kg. The following formula is used to calculate the volumetric weight:
volumetric weight = length × width × height (in cm³) / 6000
If the value calculated according to the formula exceeds the actual weight (gross) of the cargo, the transportation charge is based on the volumetric weight.
